Scientific confirmation of the effectiveness of the OXIME gel

The trade journal Fundamental and Applied Toxicology [in issue 36 of 1997 pp. 62-67] published a paper by a group of scientists from Pomona College in Claremont, California on the correlation of the length of the primary alcohol aliphatic chain with antiseptic (disintegration of cell membranes) properties.

The study showed that the antiseptic properties of primary alcohols increase exponentially with the increase in the length of the alkyl chain, which is why we use 2-methyl-1-propanol (Isobutanol) in OXIME products, which is several times more effective antiseptic than ethanol.

In addition, we supplemented the composition with hydrogen peroxide to ensure complementary, broad-spectrum effects on bacteria, viruses and fungi; the antiseptic properties of perhydrol are confirmed by a number of studies, it is used as a 3% aqueous solution in so-called hydrogen peroxide, therefore, is safe.

The OXIME product is the most effective solution to feel 100% safe also for an extended exposure time to biocidal agents, unlike popular ethanol products - our product stays on your hands for a long time before it dries, which increases its effectiveness. Ethanol products dry out after a few seconds, while the antiseptic properties of ethanol (and other alcohols) are discussed at at least 15 seconds exposure, which means that ethanol is a bad choice, even at an optimal concentration of 70%.
